1> 2 day helmsman course
 
This two day course covers basic boat handling, engine checks and safety. Ideal for the new owner who is conscious of the difficulty and potential hazards of boat handling in the marina.
 
Course Details Duration: 2 days Cost: £430 / €600 Pre-requisites: None. Assessment: Continuous The Syllabus 1 Safety. 2 Helmsmanship. 3 Handling. 4 Engine Maintenance. Ability After Course Competent to handle motor cruiser of specific type in sheltered waters.

2. One Day ICC CEVNI

Assessment only If you want to charter, or take your own yacht abroad, this certificate with the CEVNI endorsement will probably be required to demonstrate your competence. 7. Three Day ICC CEVNI

3. Day Skipper (Tidal)

Practical Course This practical course gives you a chance to take charge on short passages under instruction with plenty of advice and help from the instructor. Designed for tidal waters. Course Details Duration: 4 days Cost: £899 / €1242 Pre-requisites: Basic navigation and seamanship. 2 days sea time. Assessment: Continuous The Syllabus 1 Pilotage. 2 Boat handling. 3 Seamanship. 4 Navigation. Ability After Course Able to skipper a motor yacht in familiar waters in day light.

6. Yachtmaster preparation and examination
 
A comprehensive refresher course for those with sufficient sea miles, looking to take the Yachtmaster Offshore Practical Examination. Held on one of our school boats, the course is of 5 days duration, with the examination taking place on the 5th day. Course Details Duration: 5 days Cost: £1160 / €1635 (ex exam fee £140 / €205) Pre-requisites: 15 days - 2 days as skipper, 300 miles, 8 nights Navigation to Coastal Skipper shore based standard. Boat handling to Day Skipper Practical standard. Assessment: External examiner 6 – 10 hours per candidate on 5th day Will be set tasks to demonstrate their ability as skipper of an offshore motor yacht, including questions on collision avoidance, navigation, pilotage, meteorology and boat handling.
